CCE Clinic

Saturday June 29th

Instruction in small groups at similar Levels, following the modified JOR course set for Sunday’s competition. Instruction will start in the arena with primarily SJ-type obstacles and proceed to the open setting and CC-type obstacles. The clinic will provide the opportunity to practice the entire course, develop a plan and strategy for the competition, while the rules and features of CCE are explained. The two main goals of the clinic are to make starting CCE even more inviting, and to focus on safe and appropriate riding practices.

CCE Workshop Competition

Sunday June 30th

  • A modified JOR course, starting in the arena setting, followed by a gallop section, and concluding with a lengthened open setting section of cross country obstacles. This single Stage format means there is only one course to learn, will reduce delays and waiting, allowing a more convenient schedule for everyone.
  • Multiple Rounds are encouraged and can be added on the day.
  • Enter either or both days. The briefing and course-walk on Sunday morning is optional for those that attended the Clinic on Saturday or have previous CCE experience. Any new CCE features added will be outlined in the information email sent a few days before the clinic. We may include timing at this competition, but it will use a modified system to reduce the emphasis on speed.

Team Competition

  • Teams to consist of a pair of competitors.
  • The first round score is used for each team member and is converted into a percentage of the maximum possible score.
  • The two scores are averaged. This allows team members to ride at different Levels.
  • Team Competition prizes are “Win Green Goodies”
