Types of Competitions-

Workshop Competition – an educational introductory competition that includes a briefing, course-walk and a relaxed competition, providing an informative and low-stress opportunity to learn and practice the basics of CCE. These are formatted to suit the specific situation, utilize what is readily available and minimize set-up requirements.

Training Competition – run under official CCE rules, but have additional flexibility to maximize access and allow the competition to be optimized for the specific situation. Allowances providing additional training opportunities for competitors and benefits to organizers are usually included. Training Competitions are recorded and contribute to qualification and eligibility. They are typically competitions using simpler single Stage formats at Levels 1 through 5.

Accredited Competition – run under official CCE rules with no exemptions or Allowances. Accredited Competitions are the basis of qualification and eligibility, include all Levels (L1 to L10), and all Classes, including those with more complex formats.

In addition to CCE Competitions:

CCE Clinic – includes explanation of CCE fundamentals and riding instruction for participants.

CCE Seminar – includes a discussion and simplified course-walk to explain the basics of CCE to a non-riding audience.

CCE Demonstration – are similar to a Seminar but include exhibition riders.

Fees:

  • Early One Day (by April 19) $70/rider
  • Early Two Day (by April 19) $130/rider
  • Regular One Day (Apr. 20 - May 3) $75/rider
  • Regular Two Day (Apr. 20 - May 3) $140/rider
  • Late One Day (May 4 - May 10) $80/rider
  • Late Two Day (May 4 - May 10) $150/rider

The Cross Country Equestrian Association oversees the brand-new sport of Cross Country Equestrian (CCE) competition, a discipline designed to foster the accessibility of equestrian sport, encourage quality horsemanship and reward a true horse-and-rider partnership.
